Bonnie Tyler Picture
Bonnie Tyler (born Gaynor Hopkins on June 8, 1951 in Skewen, Neath) is a Welsh singer. Born into a large working-class family of six children, her father worked as a miner while her mother, an opera fan, shared her love of music with her children. Influenced by the music of Janis Joplin and Tina Turner, as a teen she sang with a group called "Bobby Wayne and the Dixies," following which she formed her own band, calling it Imagination. Adopting different stage names until settling on Bonnie Tyler, for nearly a decade she and her band performed at pubs and nightclubs all over South Wales. In 1975 Bonnie Tyler recorded her first single for RCA Records called "My My Honeycomb" that failed to make the charts.

Some friends you lose
Some friends you win
Time will heal the pain
I would give up everything
To hold you once again
Sorry doesnt make it right
And tears are not enough
I cant take these lonely nights
And shadows from this love
*we are daytime friends
And night-time fools
Oh nobody takes the place of you
Oh a woman is a mans best friend
Oh in this world, baby
** we are daytime friends
And night-time fools
Oh baby, breakin up is hard to do
I have golden days
And restless lonely nights
With you, darlin (baby)
Oh heaven knows where heaven is
How does this love survive
Try a little tenderness
To keep this love alive
Nights begin to drive me down
Its waiting in my heart
Oh love it makes the world go round
But were so far apart
(*repeat)
(* *repeat)
Im missin your sweet tender kiss
Im missin you tonight, babe
All I wants your sweet caress
Theres nothing left to hide, baby
(* * repeat)
(* repeat)
(* * repeat and fade)
