Bonnie Tyler Picture
Bonnie Tyler (born Gaynor Hopkins on June 8, 1951 in Skewen, Neath) is a Welsh singer. Born into a large working-class family of six children, her father worked as a miner while her mother, an opera fan, shared her love of music with her children. Influenced by the music of Janis Joplin and Tina Turner, as a teen she sang with a group called "Bobby Wayne and the Dixies," following which she formed her own band, calling it Imagination. Adopting different stage names until settling on Bonnie Tyler, for nearly a decade she and her band performed at pubs and nightclubs all over South Wales. In 1975 Bonnie Tyler recorded her first single for RCA Records called "My My Honeycomb" that failed to make the charts.

(bonnie tyler/ paul hopkins)
Producer for bonnie: nicky graham
Recorded in 1983 as a b-side for the single straight from the heart. lyrics taken from careful listening.
I wonder if you think Im me
As I love you each day, yeah
I wonder if you listen to
The words I sing and what I say
They say that your first love never dies
You can put out the flames, but not the fire
Bottled up inside, you cant come out
First love, you were my, first love
First love
First love
Friend say you ask of me
And talk of how we used to be, yeah
At times I wondered if Id dare
Ring and tell you how I care
They say that your first love never dies
You can put out the flame, but not the fire
round and round I keep on going
Like a spiral never slowing
First love, you were my, first love
First love
First love
They say that your first love never dies
You can put out the flames, but not the fire
Bottled up inside, you cant come out
Theres nowhere to hide
I cant even show it
First love, you were my, first love
First love, you were my, first love
You were my first, yeah
You were my, first love
First love, you were my first love
First love, first love, first love
You were my first love
First love, you were my, first love
If only you could see me
If only you could love me
First love
If only you could hear me, yeah...
